Students in EPICS 151 in the spring 2017 semester took on the challenge of improving bike and pedestrian safety, as a part of the RoadX Challenge sponsored by the Colorado Department of Transportation. The winning design was a solar-powered LED system that alerts motorists to cyclists in bike lanes. More about the competition and designs can be found here.
