The McNeil Center is hosting a VIP Evening around Entrepreneurship & Innovation to kickoff the 2023-2024 academic year.
As the Mines entrepreneurial ecosystem gains momentum, facilitating connections among motivated parties is essential to a vibrant community. To this purpose, the McNeil Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation is introducing the McNeil Zeal – a warm and relaxed setting over dinner and drinks where you get acquainted with our startup founders who have been gaining traction.
The McNeil Zeal features themed tables around trending innovation topics of interest. In designing this event and its follow up events, we borrow from the example of Edward Lloyd who in 1686, opened a coffee house that became the meeting hub of sailors, merchants and shipowners. In facilitating conversations around maritime trade, Edward Lloyd inadvertently set the stage for creating Lloyd’s of London, the world’s leading insurance market.
The event will be held in Friedhoff Hall, Green Center. WHEN: Wednesday September 6th, 5 – 8pm. Invitation only.
