So you have a concept or technology. You have an idea of how you’ll begin to develop your company. Unless you’re working on a solo venture, most often you will need several people with unique skills to help you bring your idea into the world. In fact, the strength of your team is one of the elements an investor will put the most thought into when deciding whether or not to invest in your company.

If you’d like our help in matching you with people whose skills, experience, and passions work best for your team, reach out to us via the contact form below using the subject line “build a team”.

You don’t always have to create a company yourself to immerse yourself in the fast-paced, exciting world of entrepreneurship. Maybe you don’t have a powerful vision for the next great innovation, but would you love to work with someone who does? Are you a genius in a particular skillset, or a renaissance man or woman? Are you in love with the excitement of the startup scene?

If you’d like to be a part of creating something entirely new, let us know via the contact form below with the subject line “join a team”.

An experienced mentor who can guide you through the startup process is one of the best resources you’ll ever have. In addition to guidance, your mentor can become a great friend and help you build a strong network.

There are many experienced Mines alumni and community residents who want to help mentor the newest generation of innovators. If you’d like our help in facilitating a potential mentor match, let us know via the contact form by including “mentor” in the subject line.

The idea that you own the rights to your ideas is one of the greatest hallmarks of American invention.

When you create or discover something new, it becomes you intellectual property, or IP. There are a number of things you can do with registered IP. You could develop a company around the advantage your discovery provides, license it to companies for them to use, or even hand it off to a team of entrepreneurs who will bring your idea to life while you avoid the cost, time and risk yourself.

Mines’ technology transfer department is committed to helping you capture value for your discovery. If you’d like to know more, fill out the form below and include “IP” in the subject line.
